Huge Sinkhole Size of Semi-Trailer Opens on Detroit Street
Motorists are advised to stay away from the area of Tireman near Greenfield. Both eastbound lanes of traffic are affected.

Bryan Peckinpaugh, a spokesman for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, said in an email to the Detroit Free Press that a sewer pipe beneath the street apparently failed, causing the sinkhole.
It’s unclear how long repairs will take.
