I-94 In Dearborn Reopens After 2 Semi Trucks Crash: Officials

Officials said one of the drivers was taken to a hospital with a serious head injury.

DEARBORN, MI — A stretch of Interstate 94 reopened Tuesday morning after it was closed for hours when two semi trucks crashed into each other, Michigan State Police said.

Police said one of the semi's starting weaving within its lane on westbound Interstate 94 at Rotunda Drive near Dearborn at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The truck then started swerving on the freeway and rear-ended another semi truck, causing the semi's cab to dislodge from the truck and scattering debris all over the freeway, police said.

One of the trucks involved in the crash was an empty tanker and the other had an empty trailer, police said.
