Man, 19, Dies In Dirt Bike Crash On Telegraph Rd In Detroit Area: Cops

TAYLOR, MI — A 19-year-old man died Monday night in a dirt bike crash in Taylor, according to police.

The crash happened at 7:48 p.m. Monday at Telegraph Road and the Interstate 94 intersection, according to police.

Police said the teen was riding a dirt bike that was stolen out of Shelby Township and crashed into a Ford Edge after going through a red light at the intersection.

The teen was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, according to police.

The driver of the Ford Edge stayed at the scene and tried helping the teen, according to police.

Police do not believe drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.

Police were still investigating the crash.
