Man Charged In Dearborn Crash That Killed 1, Hurt 3 During Chase: Cops

DEARBORN, MI — One person was killed and three others were injured after a crash Wednesday night in Dearborn during a police pursuit, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said Marlon Desean Davis, 21, was speeding in an SUV with four passengers in the area of Oakman Boulevard and South Morrow Circle at 11 p.m. when officers tried stopping him.

Davis sped away from officers before eventually losing control of the SUV and crashing into two police vehicles and a utility pole at the intersection of Greenfield Road and Ford Road, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said Aisia Robinson, 22, who a passenger inside the SUV was killed in the crash. The other three passengers, a 21-year-old woman, a 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were also injured in the crash. Prosecutors did not say if they were taken to a nearby hospital.

Davis was charged with first-degree fleeing and eluding, reckless driving causing death, operating with a suspended, revoked or denied license causing death, receiving and concealing a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon and four counts of felony firearm. He was placed in jail with a $1 million bond.

The fleeing and eluding, reckless driving causing death and operating with a suspended, revoked of denied license causing death charges each carry a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
