Officials did not immediately identify him.
"Unfortunately, in this circumstance, there was some hoarding activity and a lot of content in the house, making it difficult to maneuver through the house. But they were able to get to the victim. The victim was a larger gentleman, and they worked very hard to extricate him from the house," Dearborn Fire Chief Joseph Murray said.
No firefighters were injured in the blaze, though two of them ran out of air and one had to extract himself through a window, according to fire officials.
Fire officials do not believe there were any smoke alarms inside the house.
