Man Stayed In Metro Detroit Motel Room With Dead Girlfriend: Reports
Police do not believe there was any foul play.
TAYLOR, MI — Police are looking for a man who lived inside a metro Detroit motel with his dead girlfriend for days, according to multiple local reports.
A worker found 44-year-old Rebecca Patnaude dead inside a room at the Red Roof Inn in Taylor last Friday, according to reports.
The room was filled with trash, two dogs and Patnaude's body on the bed, according to reports.

Medical examiners found no obvious signs of foul play and determined Patnaude suffered from several medical issues, Fox 2 Detroit reported.
Investigators are looking for Christopher Schoonmaker, whom they said lived in the room with Patnaude's body for days. They believe he left town with Patnaude's credit cards.

Though he is not suspected of foul play, he could still face charges of failure to report a deceased person and concealment of a death in connection with his actions, according to police.
