Man Steals Multiple Power Tools From Dearborn Facility: Police

Police are looking for a man they said stole multiple power tools from Dearborn's Department of Public Works Sewage Facility​.

DEARBORN, MI — Police are looking for a man they said stole multiple power tools from Dearborn's Department of Public Works Sewage Facility.

At 8:30 p.m. on June 28, police said the man cut numerous locks on a Dearborn Animal Shelter storage shed and multiple trailers at 2661 Greenfield Road.

The man then left, and returned to cut the locks on a Department of Public Works Sewage Facility storage building at the Fire Department Training Center Grounds and stole several Ryobi brand power tools, police said.

Police believe the man roughly 50-years-old and was seen wearing a baseball cap, black t-shirt and gray or light blue pants. He was last seen driving an older model red Ford Focus 4-door hatchback, police said.

"We take trespassing and the theft of City property very seriously, and we encourage anyone who may be able to assist in our investigation to contact us," Dearborn Police Commander Timothy McHale said.
