Metro Detroit Man Accused Of Killing Mother Arrested: Police

A man was arrested Sunday in connection to the shooting death of a 64-year-old Inkster woman, according to Michigan State Police.

INKSTER, MI — A man was arrested Sunday in connection to the shooting death of a 64-year-old Inkster woman, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers found the 64-year-old woman shot to death on Sept. 4 in the 29000 block of Glenwood Street in Inkster, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers did not provide any details about the shooting, but immediately identified her son, Joshua Hill, 25, as the suspected shooter, according to Michigan State Police.

Investigators believed he drove away in a black 2005 Ford Escape with plate number DDG-1487 or a 2020 Ford Escape plate number BZK-999.

Police said they found the vehicle they believed Hill had used to leave the scene of his mother's murder on Wednesday, but didn't say where.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office then authorized an arrest warrant for Hill on charges of first-degree murder and using a firearm during a felony.

Detroit Police arrested Hill in connection to the killing, but didn't exactly say where police found him. Troopers also said Hill had a gun with him.
