Dearborn's Dingell 80th Richest in Congress: How They Rank

U.S. Rep. Dave Trott, R-Birmingham, is one of the 10 wealthiest members of Congress according to Roll Call’s new Wealth of Congress Index.

Trott, whose net worth is estimated at $73.5 million, is the richest freshman in the 114th Congress and the sixth-richest member overall.

Trott took control of his parents’ small law office in the 1980s, growing it to one of the largest real estate law firms in the country with 1,800 employees. During his time at its helm, he built his personal wealth portfolio, which includes $44.5 million worth of investments and $28.27 million in trusts.
