1 Dead, Trooper Injured In Crash On I-75 In Metro Detroit: MSP

LINCOLN PARK, MI — A woman was killed and a Michigan State trooper was injured in a crash Friday morning along Interstate 75 in Lincoln Park, according to Michigan State Police.

Police said the trooper was conducting a traffic stop on the freeway near Allen Road where an SUV slammed into the back of the police cruiser and pinned it under a semi truck.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she died, according to police.

The trooper was also taken to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for his injuries, according to police.

All northbound lanes on Interstate 75 at Allen Road were closed Friday morning, according to police.

No other details were immediately released.
