National Kidney Foundation of Michigan - My Choice... My Health Diabetes Prevention Program

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan will host a 16-week My Choice…My Health: Diabetes Prevention Program™ starting on June 30.

As recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and now funded by Medicare, the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is offering a 16-week My Choice…My Health: Diabetes Prevention Program™ workshop as part of a statewide prevention campaign. The program is offered at no cost for qualified participants with high risk of developing type 2 diabetes. By signing up for the free, 16-week, one-hour sessions, participants will work towards:

· Losing 5-7% of starting body weight

· Being physically active for 150 minutes per week

· Adapting a healthy, balanced diet

Weekly sessions start on Thursday, June 30 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m and will continue for 16 weeks. They will be hosted at:
