Neighbor Spots Men Crawling from Kitchen Window; 4 Arrested
Dearborn police chief says citizen's tip and quick response by police brought "crime wave to an end."

DEARBORN, MI – Four people have been arrested after a resident of a Dearborn neighborhood reported seeing three men crawling from a neighbor’s kitchen window about 7:15 a.m. Friday, police said.
The three suspects reportedly ran through several back yards in the area of Outer Drive and Cherry Hill in an attempt to flee the scene, but after the information was broadcast, Dearborn Police Department patrol units located them on bicycles, according to a news release.
The suspects jumped off their bikes and attempted to run away on foot, but were quickly apprehended, police said.

Three people were arrested at the scene, and a fourth was arrested a short time later.

Police said that in the course of the investigation, evidence was found that linked the suspects to several other larcenies that had occurred during the overnight hours.
Among those charged was Lawrence Kellerman, 17, of Dearborn Heights, who was charged as an adult with second-degree home invasion and receiving and concealing stolen property. Bond was set at $10,000/10 percent in a video arraignment before 34th District Court Judge William Szlinis.
His preliminary examination has been set for 9 a.m. on Friday, April 22.
Petition were filed in Wayne County Juvenile Court against the other three individuals, the release said.
