All four of Dearborn's varsity high school football teams head to the fields for their first match-ups this week.
Dearborn's high school football teams have been hard for two weeks now in preparation for season openers this week.
will begin the season on Thursday with a home game against Chippewa Valley, while will face off against Thurston High School in Redford the same night. On Friday, takes on Croswell-Lexington High in Croswell (north of Port Huron), while plays Catholic Central in Dearborn.
All games start at 7 p.m.

As for how each team will fare this season, it's anyone's guess.
Detroit Free Press sports writer Mick McCabe ranked Fordson No. 25 in his list of the top 25 high school football teams this season.

"The Tractors should be better than last season, but they will not have the one physical back who can pound the ball down the field 3 or 4 yards at a time," McCabe wrote. "Fordson will have more speed in the backfield, and expect a typically rugged defense."
