Photo Gallery: Henry Ford Village Displays Trains for Residents, Visitors

The Ford Model Railroad Club set up 1,500 square feet of trains on Saturday.

The Ford Model Railroad Club displayed and operated their 1,500 square feet of train tables, to the delight of residents, family, friends and particularly grandchildren at on Saturday, April 21.

Though enjoyed and watched with awe by children in particular, railroading is an adult hobby with members designing, building and maintaining unique train display tables that together fit like one large jig-saw puzzle to cumulatively build a massive train display. Approximately 22 club members assembled the display in three hours, and featured dozens of trains operating in different directions, and through a wide array of scenery and rail tracks, including HOS scale and O gauge trains.

The club was created by Ford Employees and retirees who share an interest in model railroading, and meets monthly.
