The theater, located in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, hosts a professional theater season, beginning in the early fall and continuing through spring, as well as a variety of local community events.
“We ask our ushers to volunteer for as little as two hours a month,” explained Theater Manager Martin Zbosnik, “but they can involve themselves as often as they wish.”

And the perks are considerable.
“Our ushers get to see some of the top performers in the world for free,” said Zbosnik. “And they receive advance information about up-coming events and ticket sales.
“Above and beyond that, they experience the excitement of the performance, because they’re part of it.”
Interested adults, aged 18 and over, are asked to contact the theater’s box office at (313) 943-2354.
This year’s professional theater season gets underway the second week in September.
