Police Stumble on 88 Fraudulent Credit Cards in Routine Stop

Troopers found fraudulent credit cards, fake ID and small amount of marijuana after stopping vehicle for following too closely.

Michigan State Police troopers found something unexpected after stopping a motorist for following too closely on Interstate 75 at an undisclosed Wayne County location Wednesday.

No, it wasn’t the five grams of marijuana, which troopers with the Special Enforcement Section found in a search after smelling marijuana, police said in a statement.

It was the 88 fraudulent credit cards and a fake identification that made the stop noteworthy.
