Rare Free Tire Disposal Event Coming Up in Dearborn

A maximum of seven tires per vehicle will be accepted in drop-off disposal at Department of Public Works Yard.

DEARBORN, MI – Residents of Dearborn have a rare opportunity to dispose of unwanted tires at no charge during a special collection event on Saturday, May 21.

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents can drop off the unwanted tires at the Department of Public Works Yard, 2951 Greenfield, the city said in a news release. The cityis partnering with Wayne County in the event.

There is a limit of seven tires per each vehicle visiting this disposal event.

Tires dropped off at this event will be properly prepared for recycling.

Tires won’t be accepted curbside, nor during Hazardous Waste Day collections, the city said. This is the only time of year that unwanted tires will be accepted at the Dearborn DPW Yard.
