Results of Autopsies on Dearborn Heights Men Found Dead in Garage

Autopsies were performed over the weekend, police are still awaiting toxicology reports to confirm different scenarios on how the men died.

Autopsies were inconclusive, and the deaths of two Dearborn Heights men whose bodies were found in a garage Friday night remain a mystery.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office performed the autopsies on veteran Dearborn Heights police officer John Burdick, 46, and his neighbor, James McEwen, 45, over the weekend.

Michigian State Police Lt. Michael Shaw told The Detroit Free Press authorities are exploring several possible explanations for how the two men died, but are waiting for toxicology reports before commenting.
