Sachse Construction to Host 500 Students for Construction Academy

Sachse Construction (Sachse), a premier commercial construction management firm recognized as one of the most trusted and respected construction partners in North America, and Junior Achievement of Southeast Michigan (JASEM), a nonprofit who inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy, are hosting a Construction Academy for 500 Detroit high school students on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Eastern Market.

The one-day event will feature four hours of skilled trades training and demonstrations from multiple subcontractors across the state of Michigan. Interactive mods will give students exposure to different exercises from each subcontractor table, which include anything from pulling wire and glass work to laying flooring and sawing wood. The event is meant to encourage students to consider the skilled trades as a rewarding career path after high-school.
