Splash Pads Open on 'Kids to Parks Day' Saturday, May 21
Activities for the National Trust observance begin at noon in Hemlock Park, where one of two free city splash pads is located.
DEARBORN, MI – Saturday’s forecast in Dearborn calls for a high of 75 degrees — near perfect conditions for the opening of the city’s two public splash pads and special activities beginning at noon at Hemlock Park to commemorate the National Trust’s “Kids to Park Day.”
The splash pad at Hemlock Park is one of two installed last year by the city. It features action-automated nozzles and water dispensers. The other splash pad, at Crowley Park, will also open Saturday.
Both will provide free outdoor aquatic fun daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Pool tags aren’t required to use the splash pads.
