State Troopers Assist Birth Of Baby On I-94 In Allen Park
The woman went into labor Tuesday morning on I-94 near the Southfield Freeway and gave birth to a baby boy.

ALLEN PARK, MI — Michigan State Police assisted the birth of a baby boy after a woman went into labor Tuesday morning on Interstate 94 near the Southfield Freeway in Allen Park, officials said.
State police said they got the call at 7:05 a.m. stating the woman was having contractions three minutes apart and the father was helping her as much as he could.
As state troopers arrived and were joined by Allen Park Fire to help, the woman's water broke and the child was delivered by the father, officials said.

Troopers covered the baby in a blanket and Allen Park EMS arrived to transport the woman to a local hospital, officials said.
The last report from officials said the mother, father and their newborn baby boy were doing just fine.
