Silvia on Monroe Salon and Spa to Close

It has been 35 years since Silvia Beasley began running her salon business in Dearborn. Nearly two decades ago, that business became , located in the heart of west downtown Dearborn.

But on April 8, the salon will close its doors.

Salon personnel tell Patch that the closure has to do with Beasley's decision to retire, and was not due to economic conditions.

The salon will offer its usual hair and spa services through April 7, and is still taking appointments.

Meanwhile, the 6,000-square-foot space, located on the corner of Monroe Street and West Village Drive, is on the market.
