Teddy Bear Picnic, Teddy Bear Parade: It's All About the Bear in Dearborn

The teddy bear, loved for more than 100 years, will be celebrated at special Dearborn Historical Society event.

Dearborn, MI — Children sometimes can't "bear" to be separated from their teddy bears.

They won't have to leave their cuddly companions behind at an upcoming Dearborn Historical Society event, the Teddy Bear Picnic on Saturday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to noon at the McFadden-Ross House, 915 Brady St.

Loved for more than 100 years, the teddy bear will be celebrated with activities including a teddy bear parade that children can enter with their bears. Kids will also have the chance to decorate wagons, bikes, strollers, buggies and floats. Awards will be presented.
