Thieves Break Into Dearborn Construction Site, Steal Power Tools: Cops
Police need help identifying two people they said broke into a construction site on Dearborn's west side and stole power tools.
DEARBORN, MI — Police are asking the community for help in identifying two people they said broke into a construction site on Dearborn's west side and stole power tools.
Police said a man and woman broke into a building that's under construction at 1031 Mason Street on Jan. 8 between 4:30-6:30 p.m. and began stealing power tools.
Surveillance video showed the thieves placing a Stihl saw cutter, 6 Rigid drills, a Bosch laser measure, a nail gun, drywall, a hand saw, plumbing tools and others into a large container with wheels, police said.

The thieves then pushed the container through the alley toward the parking lot, police said. No vehicle was captured on surveillance video.
Police described the first thieve as a man wearing a black hoodie, black jacket, gray pants, black shoes and carrying a black backpack with a white and red patch.

Police describe the second thieve as a woman wearing a black winter hat, black hoodie with white writing on the front, gray pants and black shoes. She was wearing a custom sweatshirt with the wording "Westside Barbell" on the front and "Westside" on each arm.
