Thieves Smash Into Dearborn Heights Gun Shop, Leave Empty Handed: Cops

Dearborn Heights Police are looking for a group of thieves who drove a car through a gun shop's entrance and tried stealing guns.

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI — Police are searching for multiple thieves who tried stealing guns from a gun shop in Dearborn Heights in a failed Thursday morning smash and grab, police said.

The thieves drove a red Hyundai Sonata through the Esko gun shop's entrance on Telegraph at Ann Arbor Trail roads around 4 a.m. Thursday morning, police said.

The thieves were then seen on surveillance cameras walking around the shop before leaving after realizing the guns were locked away in a safe, police said.
