The lights will be turned on Dearborn's Christmas tree Monday evening. (City of Dearborn photo)____________________The City of Dearborn's annual Christmas Tree-Lighting Ceremony and Sing-Along at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., will be 6 - 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8. The free event will give guests an opportunity to enjoy live music, performances by local school choirs and bands, a Christmas sing-along and visit with Santa Claus. The schedule of events on Dec. 8 is as follows:<ul><li>6 p.m. - Dearborn Big Band (Michael A. Guido Theater Lobby)</li><li>6:35 p.m. - Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with Mayor John B. O'Reilly, Jr. (outside, in the Theater Circular Drive)</li><li>6:45 p.m. – Everyone enters the Michael A. Guido Theater</li></ul>Theater Program<ul><li>6:55 p.m. - Performance by Dearborn High School Marching Band</li><li>7:10 p.m. - Holiday-themed performance featuring the Dearborn Public Schools Elementary and Middle School Honors Choirs</li><li>7:25 p.m. - Christmas Sing-Along with Mayor John B. O'Reilly, Jr.</li><li>7:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. - Visit with Santa Claus in Studio A, refreshments in the lobby</li></ul>All are welcome. Please note that this year, the Tree Lighting Ceremony is not being held during the Festival of Trees fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Michigan.
