Truck Driver Killed In 'Tragic Accident' At Wayne Co. Landfill: Police

RIVERVIEW, MI — A truck driver was killed Thursday in a "tragic accident" at a Riverview Land Preserve, according to Riverview Police.

The worker, whom police did not identify, was killed at the landfill, located at 20863 Grange Road, near King between Allen Road and Fort Street.

No further information was released by police as they continue investigating the incident.

"The circumstances are presently under investigation and we are not prepared to make any statements at this time," police said in the statement. "We do, however, extend our prayers and deepest sympathies to the family of the truck driver."
