Woman Hit, Killed On I-75 In Metro Detroit

Michigan State Police don't believe speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

MONROE COUNTY, MI — A woman was killed Wednesday night after an SUV struck her on Interstate 75 in Monroe County, Michigan State Police said.

Officials said the SUV was driving north on the freeway near mile marker eight at 9:48 p.m. when it struck the woman walking along the freeway.

Police found the woman dead on the freeway and have not been able to identify her. She was wearing black and white pajama pants, black tennis shoes, and a black long-sleeved shirt that says "Pink," officials said.

Police don't believe speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
