An innocent man was killed in a Monday night crash on the Southfield Freeway in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.

DETROIT — An innocent man was killed in a Monday night crash on the Southfield Freeway in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
The driver of an Infiniti was speeding, making numerous lane changes and driving recklessly in the southbound lanes on the freeway near Schoolcraft Road at 9:15 p.m., police said.
When troopers tried stopping the Infiniti, the driver sped off and struck the gore of the exit ramp, police said.

The Infiniti then went airborne and struck a passenger vehicle that was on the service drive, before rolling over and landing on its roof, police said.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 59-year-old man from Detroit, was killed in the crash, police said.

The driver of the Infiniti, a 20-year-old man from Detroit, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.
Police said the case will be sent over to the prosecutor's office for review with charges pending against the suspected driver.
"The traffic crash reconstruction unit and the Second District Special Investigation Section are completing their investigation," First Lieutenant Mike Shaw said. "An investigators report will be submitted to the prosecutor's office for review once that is completed."
