1 Dead In Rollover Crash On Detroit Freeway: Police
Police said there was an unrelated two-car crash that was partially blocking the left lane of the freeway at the time.
DETROIT — A 33-year-old man was killed in a Monday night rollover crash on a Detroit freeway, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 9:55 p.m. in the northbound lanes on the Lodge Freeway near Glendale Avenue in Detroit, according to police.
Troopers said there was an unrelated, two-car crash that was partially blocking the left lane of the freeway at the time.

One of the drivers involved in that crash was trying to direct traffic away from the crashed vehicles, according to police.
That's when the 33-year-old man was speeding toward the crash scene, according to police.

One of the drivers tried to direct the speeding car away from the scene, but failed and jumped over the wall to get away from the oncoming driver, according to police.
The car then smashed into the freeway wall and rolled over, trapping the man inside, according to police.
The 33-year-old man was killed in the crash, according to police.
No one else was injured in the crash.
Police were still investigating the crash.
"We want to remind drivers to stay in their vehicles and call 911 after a crash," Michigan State Police F/Lt Mike Shaw said. "If you can move your car out of the travel lanes do so. It will not affect the crash investigation. Do not get out of your car on the freeway."
