1 Killed, 7 Hurt In Detroit Shooting, Police Say

DETROIT, MI — Eight people were shot early Sunday in Detroit, according to police.

The incident occurred at Coyle Street and Plymouth Road, police said. As of about 10 a.m., one of the victims had died, according to police.

The shooter began firing in the air after he came home and discovered a vehicle blocking his driveway, according to WXYZ, which reported he then entered his residence to get another gun and shot at a neighboring house where a party was being held. The gunman has been taken into custody, WXYZ reported.
