170K Still Without Power In Metro Detroit After Storms
DTE estimates that power will be restored to 95 percent of customers impacted by Wednesday's storm by the end of day Saturday.
METRO DETROIT — Nearly 170,000 DTE customers in the metro Detroit area were still without power Thursday morning after a round of severe thunderstorms rolled through the area.
The hardest hit areas were Washtenaw and Wayne counties, particularly in Ann Arbor, Grosse Pointe, Livonia and Redford areas. Numerous downriver communities were also affected as well.

DTE Vice President of Distribution Operations Joe Musallam said Ann Arbor and metro Detroit were hit especially hard, and they're "really be loading up on crews in those areas."
Forecasters expect temperatures to really heat up Thursday and Friday with heat indices reaching the upper 90s. Forecasters expect another round of thunderstorms to roll through the area Friday night.
