Another round of snow is possible across the Detroit area Wednesday as arctic air moves into the region, according to forecasters.

The snow will move into the area sometime Wednesday afternoon when temperatures fall into the 20s, the weather service said.
Forecasters also warned short bursts of snow, called snow squalls, could push visibility to near zero in some parts of the region. Overall, they expect roughly 1 to 2 inches of fresh snow across the region by the evening hours.

Wednesday night lows will fall into the single digits with wind chills dropping below zero degrees at times, the weather service said.
The cold air will stick around through New Year's Day and into the weekend, the weather service said.
