Detroit Police Chief James White said Monday the two suspects, who are minors, were arrested along with their attorney in Southfield. White did not provide any further details.

No shots were fired and the officer was not injured during the scuffle. White credited the officer who was attacked for not firing his gun as the suspects ran away from the gas station.

"He stopped to get some gasoline and make a purchase and two knuckleheads decided to attack him," White told reporters.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has any information on the alleged attack was asked to call 313-596-6110 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
