26 Burger Kings Quickly Closing Across Metro Detroit: Here's The List

METRO DETROIT — Dozens of Burger King locations across metro Detroit will quickly close after the franchisee could not reach an operation's agreement with Burger King corporate officials, according to a letter to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.

EYM King of Michigan LLC told state officials it will close 26 Burger King locations across metro Detroit "due to the unforeseen business circumstance and not being able to reach a resolution with Burger King Corporation." Officials did not list specific reasons for the closures.

More than 400 Burger King employees are expected to lose their job when all 26 locations close by April 15. The closures started on March 17, according to the letter.
