$2K Reward For Information On Shooter Who Fired Shots At Detroit Cops
Police do not know if the shooter was inside a moving vehicle or a building when the shots were fired at officers.
DETROIT — A $2,000 reward is being rewarded for information leading to an arrest in connection with a Monday shooting involving Detroit officers.
Police said a shooter fired shots at officers during a traffic stop on Harper Avenue and Seneca Street at 7:55 p.m. Monday.
Officers and the driver they stopped were outside their vehicles when the shooter(s) fired two shots, according to police.

Police said officers took cover and no one was struck by the rounds. Police do not know if the shooter was inside a moving vehicle or a building when the shots were fired at officers.
"It's absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous," Detroit Police Chief James White said. "Our officers are working very hard to keep those who work, play, and visit our community safe. They deserve to go home safely to their families."

White said the shooting is the third time in recent weeks a shooter fired shots at officers. In one incident, officers were chasing a group of juveniles involved with a carjacking and one of the suspects fired shots at an officer, White said.
In another incident, officers were chasing a suspect involved with a fight at home and took fire during the pursuit, White said. Police were able to arrest the suspect and recovered two guns at the scene, White said.
In both incidents, officers did not return fire because of safety concerns.
