4-Year-Old Boy Accidentally Shot In A Home Taylor By Uncle: Police
Police said the child was expected to make a full recovery.
DETROIT — A 4-year-old boy was expected to make a full recovery after police determined he was accidentally shot Tuesday night by his uncle in a Taylor home, Detroit Police said.
Police said the boy's mother initially told officers her son was shot in a drive-by shooting while standing at a bus stop near the intersection of Joy and Evergreen roads.
Officers investigated the intersection on Detroit's west side and determined the shooting did not happen there. Rather, police said the boy's uncle accidentally shot his gun from the home's second floor, striking the boy on the first floor.
