From 50s To Snow This Weekend: Metro Detroit Weather

Highs will reach 50 degrees across the Detroit area Friday before another round of snow this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow will move into the region Saturday evening with overnight lows falling into the low 20s, the weather service said.

Forecasters expect most of the region will see between 1 and 2 inches of fresh snow by Sunday morning.

The cold air will stick around in the region for Sunday and Monday with highs hovering around freezing levels, the weather service said.

Then there will be a chance for a rain/snow mix on Tuesday as temperatures warm to near 40 degrees, the weather service said.

Temperatures could again hit 50 degrees by the end of next week, the weather service said.
