68K Without Power In Metro Detroit Due To Thursday's High Winds: DTE
DTE energy said there are about 231 crews working in the field to restore power.
METRO DETROIT — More than 68,000 DTE customers are without power Thursday morning around metro Detroit as high winds continue sweeping the area.
Some of the largest power outages were in Oakland and Macomb counties, especially around the areas of Royal Oak, Sterling Heights and Roseville. There was also large outages in Wayne County, particularly in the Westland and Taylor areas.
DTE energy said there are about 343 crews working in the field to restore power.

Metro Detroit remains under a wind advisory from the National Weather Service until 2 p.m. Thursday, as meteorologist warned wind gusts could reach 50 miles per hour.
