5K Without Power In Metro Detroit After Snowstorm
DTE Energy said most of the outages were caused by tree damage and ice on the power lines.
METRO DETROIT — More than 5,700 DTE Energy customers in metro Detroit were without power Thursday morning after a snowstorm rolled through the area Wednesday, leaving between 4 and 7 inches of snow.
The largest outages were in Wayne County, particularly in the Grosse Pointe and Livonia areas. There were also outages in Eastpointe and Macomb Township in Macomb County.
DTE said most of the outages were caused by tree damage and ice on the power lines.

With 150 crews in the field, DTE said most of the outages should be restored by Thursday afternoon.
