Accumulating Snow In Metro Detroit Possible Sunday; Forecast

Sunday could bring the season's first snow totals with a half-inch to one inch of new snow possible.

METRO DETROIT — Sunday could provide the season's first acclimating snow totals, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow showers will begin Sunday morning and last into the early afternoon, before potentially transitioning into rain. A half-inch to one inch of new snow is possibly by Sunday afternoon, NWS said.

Friday will remain sunny with a slight chance of rain in the evening. Highs are expected to reach the low 50s, NWS said.

The weekend looks chilly and wet with overnight lows near freezing temperatures and snow/rain chances, NWS said.
