DETROIT — News reports say Panera Bread is planning to close its Detroit spot located inside the Renaissance Center next Tuesday.
The company give not give a reason for the closure.
“We remain committed to the city of Detroit and are actively exploring new opportunities to bring Panera to the area,” a Panera spokesperson told the Detroit Free Press.
The Panera in the Renaissance Center is the chain's only Detroit location, according to its website.
Panera has locations across metro Detroit, including nearby locations at 17150 Kercheval Ave. in Grosse Pointe and 3112 Fairlane Drive in Allen Park.
