A small earthquake hit the Detroit area Monday, the second quake to strike in the area in two weeks, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The 2.7-magnitude quake struck near Carleton at 5:32 p.m. Monday with a depth of 6 kilometers, according to geologists.
Though dozens of people across the Detroit area reported feeling the tremor, no injuries or significant damage have been reported.
Geologists ask anyone who felt the earthquake to report it to the USGS here.
Monday's quake comes just after a slightly stronger 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck just off the coast Amherstburg, Ontario two weeks ago.
Amherstburg sits roughly 16 miles south of Detroit at the mouth of the Detroit River.
The earthquake shook multiple downriver communities, including Trenton, Rockwood, Grosse Isle and Wyandotte.
