DETROIT — A body was found in the water near Belle Isle in Detroit on Wednesday, according to police.
Officers were investigating an abandoned vehicle on the island when U.S. Coast Guard officials found the body, according to police.
Police said the investigation is still early and did not release any other details.
Officials did say there is no danger to the public.
