Storms Possible Across Detroit Area This Week As Temps Warm Back Into 80s

Forecasters do not expect any severe weather.

Thunderstorms are possible across the Detroit area this week as temperatures warm back into the 80s, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs will reach the upper 70s Wednesday before widespread rain moves into the region during the nighttime hours, according to NWS.

The rain will linger into Thursday morning, but should fade away by the afternoon hours when highs reach the low 80s, according to NWS.

Thunderstorms with heavy downpours can develop in the afternoon hours, mainly between 2 and 5 p.m. Thursday, according to NWS.

Forecasters do not expect any severe weather.

There will be another chance for rain Friday before a sunny weekend with highs in the 80s. Temperatures could then soar into the 90s to start next week, according to NWS.

Thursday: Storms; High 80, Low 59

Friday: Chance for Rain; High 79, Low 61
