An extreme heat watch has been issued for the Detroit area as dangerously hot temperatures move into the area, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs will climb into the 90s Monday with sunny skies, according to NWS.
It will be even hotter Tuesday when afternoon highs get close to 100 degrees with the real feel temperature reaching up to 107 degrees, according to NWS.
Forecasters have issued an extreme heat watch alert for the area that goes into effect at noon Tuesday through 8 p.m.
Highs will stay in the 90s with high humidity levels on Wednesday and Thursday, according to NWS.
Temperatures finally fall below 90 degrees on Friday, though temperatures will stay in the upper 80s with high humidity through the weekend, according to NWS.
