DETROIT — A woman was hit and killed along a Detroit freeway early Wednesday morning, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 12:29 a.m. Wednesday on the Davison Freeway near Oakland Avenue, according to police.
Police said the woman ran into the eastbound lanes on the freeway when she was hit by the car. Police said she died at the scene.
Investigators were still trying to determine why the woman ran onto the freeway.
Police did not release any information about the driver.
No other details were released.
