DETROIT — A man is dead and a teenage girl was arrested Wednesday after a fatal stabbing in Detroit, according to police.
The incident happened Wednesday morning at a home near Marx and Grixdale streets in Detroit, according to police.
Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison told reporters the two got into an argument when the 17-year-old stabbed the man.
A neighbor told WDIV he saw the man leave the house, walk down the steps and collapse on the grass. He and other neighbors rushed to help the man before paramedics arrived.
The man, who was in his 20s, was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, Bettison said.
Bettison said officers arrested the girl and that there is no danger to the community.
No other details were released as police were still investigating.
