4. Ethnic parishes seek to keep identities under Archdiocese of Detroit proposals (detroitnews.com) — Catholic parishes across the Archdiocese of Detroit, including ethnic communities in Detroit, Warren, Southfield, and beyond, are bracing for possible weekend Mass cuts and parish groupings under a major restructuring plan. Delta flight from LA to Boston makes emergency landing in Detroit (bostonglobe.com) — A Delta flight from Los Angeles to Boston made an emergency landing at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport after the captain reported feeling ill and requested hospital care. Firefighters met the plane, one person was taken to the hospital, and a new crew later continued the flight to Boston, with Delta apologizing for the disruption.
