All six workers were taken to a nearby hospital where officials said two patients were in serious condition and four were stable. They don't believe any of the injuries are life-threatening.

Officials have not yet released specific details about the incident.

"Ford Field has begun a full review and is cooperating with the appropriate authorities and with the event's production partners. Out of respect for the people involved and the integrity of that review, we will not speculate on the cause. We are grateful to the Detroit Fire Department and EMS for their rapid response," a Ford Field spokesperson said.

Sheeran was in Detroit on Saturday as part of his North American "LOOP Tour," which started in June.
